Lume Brando is the title of the exhibition showcasing the works created by the students of Sculpture Atelier II from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto. The exhibition is held in the spaces of the Fábrica de Santo Thyrso under the supervision of the International Museum of Contemporary Sculpture.
This image of a faint, persistent flame—one that remains invisible without excess or euphoria, that knows how to wait while maintaining a constant presence, that illuminates without dazzling, that sharpens without burning—serves as a metaphor for a set of projects emerging from that fragile yet intimate task of bringing something into being capable of challenging the world from our most authentic subjectivity. May this flame never be a will-o’-the-wisp!
