The visual artist Fernando Casás is considered one of the precursors of the movements of Art & Nature. Of Galician origin, he spent most of his life in Brazil where, since the 60’s, he developed an artwork that many times was ephemeral and connected to the passage of time through nature. His artwork presents itself as a constant dialog with Nature. After mars reflects his most intimate and minimalist side of his interventions in nature, as a result of the accumulation of materials that pushed the artist to search for a more purified and conceptual elaboration in which the materials and language used weren’t definite, they were expressive of the different concepts present in his work.

Panels, tapestries and preparations of primal rituals. In each possible set the reading of the small works, totally different between them, leads us to the vision of the destiny that has united them. The exhibition ‘After Mars’ places us before the inquiry about what will happen when our planet is totally exhausted. Then we will realize that before us a desert opens itself, what rests and what will be, past and future. Then a landscape that results from the life that, transplanted to another planet, adapts itself for a moment but will go on looking for other spaces, transforming itself until it goes back to pure energy.
